Sorry mate, I'm afraid it can't be done. User deleted content like posts, threads, boards, categories and full forums can't be resurrected. You'll need to start afresh. In my view, perhaps if you deleted all member content in a fit you shouldn't be @ admin. OT. I think Proboards have missed an opportunity here. It would be fairly easy to set up a server and storage space for a weekly or monthly backup. At a subscription price of course.

Deleted forums as a whole can be restored to the state that they were in when they were deleted. aledivisepul , you'll have to wait for Proboards staff to do that for you, which may not happen until tomorrow. Your account here on Support needs to be using the same email (no need to post it) as the admin account on the deleted forum.

From her post, I get the impression she deleted the entire forum, which can be recovered.
Did you delete the entire forum or individual content?

I pretty much deleted it in one go.
BUT there might also have been times where individual content was deleted.
The fit was at a time I was less lucid than now.

If, as bigballofyarn said it's a full deletion from Admin (and at second glance it does look like it could be) there's a chance you could get it back. Bump the post on Monday. Any "individual content" that you might have deleted, accidentally or on purpose, is lost and gone forever. Going forward, get some trusted staff, maybe even a co-admin. Set up a staff only board to move anything you feel obnoxious or objectionable, don't delete it, just move it. I don't know how many members or posts you had but it's rude just to wipe them out like that. Good luck.

The forum looks like it's in a state that it can be restored - as it was at the time of forum deletion. As stated previously, other content (like posts and threads) cannot be restored if that type of content was deleted before the forum was deleted as a whole. In the future, you may just want to put the forum in Maintenance Mode if you're not sure if you want to keep it or not. PB Admins should be back in the office tomorrow at 9am Pacific Time. Sorry mate, I'm afraid it can't be done. User deleted content like posts, threads, boards, categories and full forums can't be resurrected. You'll need to start afresh. The highlighted part is not always true. If a forum is deleted as a whole by the forum admin, it typically can be recovered by PB Admins. Typically, the only time a PB forum can't be recovered by a PB Admin is when it's a ToS deletion. Please be sure of your facts before posting. While you are correct about the other user deleted content (posts, threads, categories and boards) not recoverable, you (in this case) are not correct with the forum recoverability.

Admins start from the oldest posts and work towards the newest. Bad advice.
Also, perhaps you shouldn't be so judgmental about how others run their forums. You have no idea what led up to the OPs decision. And, even if it was done during a fit, it's his right to do and none of anyone else's business.

Bumping makes sure the post won't be lost amongst the login posts. It may well be dealt with later but it will be seen. Your right, I don't know what led up to the OPs decision to delete and it is their prerogative. I'm just not sure I'd trust an Admin who'll frag a forum in a fit of pique then come asking for it back. It is judgmental but it would pee me off if I was a member. YMMV.

Hey y'all, if you want to continue this discussion I'd recommend doing it via PM so the admins / mods don't lock this thread.

@ OP: just to make certain we're on the same page, please check back on Monday, 20 December, for a PB admin's response to your request. Business hours are M-F, 9am to 5pm pacific (-8gmt) with the exception of US Federal Holidays (which won't occur until Friday of this upcoming week). Based on the error message when accessing the URL it does appear to be a candidate for restoration, in the state it was when you initially deleted it. If you haven't already, please make sure that the email address on your account here on ProBoards Support is the same email address used to initially create the forum. If you have more than one global account (ie if your email address here is different from the one tied to the deleted forum), please reference the following guide for merging accounts: support.proboards.com/thread/615421/multiple-global-accounts

aledivisepul, the forum can be restored, however the email you used for your account here does not match the email of the forum's admin account. You need make a request to restore (recover) from an account with a matching email address. This is the only way we can confirm your identity as the forum creator.
