Forum URL: nblug.proboards.comHello, Some moderators on this forum have asked that I give full admin rights to one or more of them. I am nervous about this as it would give the power to delete the entire forum. I have seen in the support docs that it is not recommended to give members or staff the power to delete posts, and I'd be grateful for your advice on the 'sharing admin' request. Thanks, Jim.

nblug - You can change the powers available to a staff member of your forum, but you would be unable to give "full" admin rights as in there are some powers that cannot be assigned, namely the power to delete the forum *. And you are correct generally the recommendation is not to give deletion powers. We have a Help Guide article that talks about how to Prevent Forum Content Deletion. Also, we generally advise caution when forum members ask for powers and being asked for full admin rights definitely does raise a concern. Was there a reason why this request was made? * Note: only the main admin account (forum creator) can delete the forum. Login credentials for the main admin (or any account) should not be shared.

Thanks Scott. A moderator noticed he cannot delete a post and the debate escalated from there. My intention is not to give any more powers to moderators - I have spent a lot of time and effort building up our forum and I don't want it to go to waste!
Thanks again, Jim.
